Tuesday 5th July – NA CoD World League Tips: Final Curtain • Call of Duty Betting

It’s finally here. After ten long weeks of matches, we’re into the last 3 days of play in Stage 2 of the North American Call of Duty World League. The odds for today’s matches haven’t gone live quite yet, but there are a few important topics to cover if you’re thinking about betting this week.

Connection Controversy

If you’ve been following the scene over the past few weeks, you’ll have no doubt seen the recent controversy surrounding OpTic Gaming’s connection issues and the frustration that followed, resulting in the suspension of both Karma and Crimsix. This is just one of several issues some squads have been experiencing so far this season, and it affects your bets. Keep in mind that any squad can end up forfeiting a match due to technical issues, whether they’re bottom of the table or the greatest team to have ever touched the game. We would advise a little extra caution when betting. Odds for squads like OpTic Gaming, Team EnVyUs and FaZe Clan may not be as good value as they look, considering the risk of forfeit.

Who to Watch This Week

The number of teams still in the danger zone, even at this late stage, is staggering. Out of the 12 teams in the league, 50% of them are still not safe, all looking to avoid the single place left in the bottom 4. So keep in mind that all of these teams are going to have an extra kick behind them as they make the final push for a place in Stage 2 Finals:

eLevate
Rise Nation
H2k-Gaming
Cloud9
Dream Team
Luminosity Gaming

Of these teams, it’s worth highlighting H2k-Gaming, who are currently riding out a 5 match win-streak over teams such as FaZe Clan and Dream Team. They’ll be taking on Rise Nation and Team EnVyUs this week. These are certainly some tough match-ups, but you should get some good value bets here, and H2k certainly have the wind at their backs.

Who to Avoid This Week

There’s only a few teams we’d avoid this week. First up we’ve got OpTic Gaming. As the fan favourites, they always have relatively poor value odds. Add the recent controversy to this, and we’d recommend giving them a miss this week.

Other than OpTic, it’s also probably worth avoiding the teams who will definitely be facing the relegation tournament in a few weeks time. These include 100 Thieves, Team SoloMid and CompLexity Gaming.

We’ll have match-ups posted throughout the week as odds go live. If you’re looking for where odds tend to go live first, be sure to check out Bet365 or Skybet.
