Friday 15th July – CoD World League Stage 2 Finals: Day 2 • Call of Duty Betting

Welcome back to day 2 of the all new format, extra long, twist filled CoD World League Stage 2 finals event. If you’ve been keeping up with the matches so far (and you certainly should be), you’ll have caught OpTic Gaming’s surprise exit at the hands of Luminosity Gaming late last night in a thrilling 4-3 game. Needless to say the competition has been blown wide open. Some of the top teams facing off today might fancy their chances of going all the way and taking the top spot this time around.

We’ve got a total of four “best of seven” matches today, split evenly between North America and Australia/New Zealand. Here’s the schedule:

Rise Nation vs Cloud9 – 13:00 EDT
FaZe Clan vs Dream Team – 15:30 EDT
Orbit GG vs Team Immunity – 18:00 EDT
Mindfreak vs The Cheifs Esports Club – 20:30 EDT

Since over here in Europe we’re far quite unlikely to catch the ANZ matches, let’s take a closer look at the odds out there for the North American clashes today.

Rise Nation (1/7, Skybet) vs Cloud9 (4/1, Skybet)

In our opinion, this is a much closer match than any of the odds seem to reflect. Cloud9 are a fantastic example of sticking with a team and improving throughout the season. In the last 6 weeks of Stage 2, Cloud9 have pulled off a 9-3 win/loss record. This compares to Rise Nation’s record of just 6-6. Sure, Rise Nation did end up finishing above Cloud9 in the league, but only by 2 maps. We can’t recommend Cloud9 strongly enough, we might even have them down as favorites.

Recommended Bet: Cloud9 (4/1, Skybet)

FaZe Clan (1/5, Skybet) vs Dream Team (10/3, Skybet)

These odds are much more in line with what we would expect from this match. FaZe Clan, while not the force that they were throughout Stage 1, have certainly earned themselves a fierce reputation and come into this match as clear favourites. Dream Team have had a season of ups and downs. Worryingly for dT fans, the season ended with mediocre performances and a solidly average 6th place finish. We would tip our hats towards FaZe Clan for this one, but it’s tough to call either of these options particularly good value.

Recommended Bet: FaZe Clan (1/5, Skybet)
