Sunday 4th September – Call of Duty Championship: Updates and Tips • Call of Duty Betting

Here’s an article we didn’t expect we would be writing today. Coming into this event, if you had said the top 4 teams would be half European and include neither OpTic Gaming, nor FaZe Clan, I’m not anyone would have taken you seriously. But here we are, with just FabE, Splyce, Team EnVyUs and Team eLevate remaining.

OpTic found themselves in hot water from the start of the tournament, landing only 2nd place in their group after an opening loss to CompLexity. This meant they faced a tough match against EnVyUs in the winners bracket, which they lost 3-1 to slip into the losers bracket. From here they launched a small comeback, but ultimately fell to Cloud9, forcing them out of the competition.

Faze Clan faced similar issues. They too fell to the losers bracket at the hands of the new favourites, Team EnVyUs. This then forced the matchup with Europe’s Splyce, which would prove to be their last match of the tournament.

That leaves us with today’s matches then.

Team EnVyUs (2/7, Skybet) vs Team eLevate (5/2, Skybet)

This is always going to be a tough match to call. Team EnVyUs have looked unstoppable all weekend. Not only did they take out OpTic Gaming in a 3-1 match, but they rolled over FaZe in 3-0 fashion, seriously impressive stuff. ELevate haven’t been sleeping on the job either though. They’ve taken out a good share of top teams as well, without losing a match. You also can’t overstate the importance a new day has on the momentum of a team. Given the odds at hand, we’d say eLevate have a good shot at taking the match, especially if they’re coming in as “underdogs”.

Recommended Bet: Team eLevate (5/2, Skybet)

FAB Games Esports (7/4, Skybet)  vs Splyce (2/5, Bet365)

Another close match. Both FABe and Splyce have done amazingly well to reach this round of the competition, securing a top 3 or higher place for the EU teams at the competition. On the one hand, FABe took out Cloud9 who were hot off a win over OpTic Gaming. Splyce, however, took out FaZe Clan who were a common pick to win the whole event. Looking at the rosters and their history in the EU CoD World League, it’s hard to go against Splyce. Their roster has been solid and consistent throughout the season, and we don’t see any reason that should change today.

Recommended Bet: Splyce (2/5, Bet365)
